Ontario City Councilman Mark Weidemyre Announces Retirement

Ontario City Councilman, Mark Weidemyre announced on Wednesday, he will be retiring after serving 15 years. According to richlandsource.com, Weidemyre stated he is stepping down at the end of the year due to a family decision to move out of state. Weidemyre will finish out his term, which ends December 31, but a new council member will be appointed to serve the term he was recently elected to, which begins January 1. The new appointee will serve out all 4 years of Weidemyre's term and the seat will be up for election in November 2023.
