The Dayton Police Department has confirmed to Mansfield Division of Police that Kyla Hayton, W/F 20 years of age, was found deceased in their city this morning. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
Ms. Hayton’s boyfriend, Todd Burkhart was found deceased on Friday November 22nd, 2019 in a vacant home in Dayton. Both Ms. Hayton and Mr. Burkhart were reported missing from Mansfield early last week. Mansfield Division of Police Major Crimes Detectives will assist Dayton Police in any way possible with the investigation into these deaths. Unfortunately, this is not the outcome we had hoped for and we ask that you keep both families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
All questions concerning the deaths of Ms. Hayton and Mr. Burkhart are to be directed to the Dayton Police Department as they are handling both death investigations.
