Health Commissioner For Richland Public Health Retiring

After 6 years as Health Commissioner of Richland Public Health, Martin Tremmel has announced his retirement at the end of January 2020. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Tremmel has lead Richland Public Health through a period of growth and transformation. One of the brightest highlights of Martin’s work at the health department includes his conscientious guidance and successful achievement of PHAB Accreditation. 

He has nearly 30 years of professional work experience in the field of public health.

He began his career in 1989 as a health educator during the early period of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and as a field inspector for hazardous/infectious waste, tattoo establishments, solid waste, drinking water, wastewater and marinas. 

He became Health Commissioner for Richland Public Health in 2013.
