The public libraries in Richland County and the U.S. Census Bureau are partnering to bring jobs to the community as we kick off peak recruiting for the 2020 Census. During normal business hours at all library branches, that started yesterday and it will run through Saturday, October 26, library employees and Census Bureau staff will host recruiting informational sessions. Our goal is to recruit thousands of temporary workers for positions beginning in the spring of 2020. These jobs are critical to a complete and accurate census.
Census staff will be available to answer questions and assist applicants with their applications Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library Main Building. Marvin Memorial Public Library in Shelby is partnering in this outreach effort.
