Campaign To Raise Funds For Bench Replacement Has Reached Goal

The campaign to replace the bench at Mt Jeez that was dedicated to the late Mansfield News Journal reporter/columnist, has already reached its $1,500 goal. Vandals recently damaged the bench beyond repair, breaking it and tossing pieces of it down the hill. Dave Crawford of the Malabar Farm Foundation told richlandsource.com that the foundation had received about two dozen donations, with amounts ranging from $5 to $500. with many of the donation letters including notes. The bench will likely be replaced this winter when Mt. Jeez is closed.
