Deer-Vehicle Crashes Increase This Time Of Year

Over 18,000 deer-vehicle crashes were reported statewide last year,

Three deaths and 980 injuries were caused by Ohio Deer-Vehicle crashes in 2018. There were 17,483 property damage crashes. Not all Deer-Vehicle crashes are reported so the property crash numbers are probably much higher.

Richland County was third among Ohio’s 88 counties for Deer-Vehicle crashes. The four counties with the highest number of reported Deer-Vehicle crashes in 2018 were Stark, Trumbull, Richland, and Hancock.
