Four Richland County Agencies Receive Grants

Statehouse initiatives to protect Ohio's law enforcement community received a total of $80,000 in additional funding for four Richland County agencies. Sheriff Steve Sheldon told RichlandSource.com his office was awarded the maximum vest grant of $40,000 as part of the new $3.5-million body-armor provision in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation budget. Mansfield Police received over $31,000, Richland County Court Services/Adult Probation over $8,100, and Butler Police over $500 through these same initiatives.
