Mansfield Man Arrested After Drugs And Gun Found In Car

On Friday, The METRICH Enforcement Unit assisted by the Mansfield Police conducted a vehicle stop for traffic violations in the area of East 5th St and Park Ave East, Mansfield, Ohio. The driver of the vehicle, Timothy J. Morris was found to be in possession of suspected Cocaine. A Mansfield Police K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed suspected heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, subutex and a loaded Hipoint 9mm handgun. Timothy Morris was arrested on charges of Possession of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, Schedule lll controlled substance, marijuana and weapons under disability. Morris was incarcerated at the Richland County jail. The Richland County Prosecutors Office will review for further charges. METRICH Sgt. Blust stated that this case was a result of METRICH detectives Gearhart and Liggett acting on citizen complaints and working with the local law enforcement agencies on enforcement actions.
