Mansfield City Council Fourth Ward candidate Alomar Davenport will host a community meeting at the North End Community Improvement Collaborative on Main Street tonight, starting at 5:30 p.m. Davenport told RichlandSource.com the meeting's objective is to resolve negative perceptions the police and members of the public may hold toward each other. Investigations continue in an August 15 traffic stop, video footage of which shows Mansfield Police drawing guns on Davenport after mistaking another object in his vehicle for a weapon.
