179th Airlift Wing Receives 3 Upgraded C-130H2 Model Aircraft's

The 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield has received 3 upgraded C-130H2 model's to add to its fleet at the base, according to RichlandSource.com. Two of the aircraft's came in mid July and the 3rd came late last week. The announcement comes after an inspection found a cracking issue a in C-130 fitting on the wing joint, which required some of the C-130 Hercules model's to temporarily be removed from service.  

Col. Todd Thomas thanked the inspection crew for putting the safety of his team as the highest priority.
