Progress Being Made On Pump House Demolition

With progress continuing on the demolition of Ashland's former Pump House property, the city looks toward the space's future. Mayor Matt Miller told RichlandSource.com the prevailing opinion is to develop the space into an "urban meadow," a field interspersed with walking paths and large trees. Regarding the former Hess and Clark building to the north of the former Pump House, Miller said that, despite interest in potentially salvaging the property, its condition is such that he recommends total demolition.
