On August 8th at approximately 21:29 hours our Office received a 911 call from the 1100 block of Fleming Falls Rd. Mansfield, Oh (Madison Township) reporting a female yelling she had been shot. Deputies arrived on scene at 21:34 hours and located a female victim with multiple life threatening injuries. The female was removed to safety and turned over to Madison Township Fire/EMS personnel for treatment and transport to Ohio Health Mansfield ER. The condition of the female is unknown at the time of this release.
Upon clearing the residence, Deputies located a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound. Sheriff’s Office personnel have secured the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Based on initial investigative information our Office believes the incident to be contained.
While in emergency response to this incident a Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of State Route 430 and Illinois Ave. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was contacted and requested to complete the accident investigation. All requests for information regarding the vehicle accident should be directed to their agency.
