Boy Scouts Rescued From Mohican River

Eight people had to be rescued from an island near Loudonville Monday morning. Richalandsource.com reports that members of the Brunswick Boy Scouts were trapped on an island on the Mohican River near Township Road 629 after waters rose overnight. 

Around 8:45 a.m. members of the scout troop were able to wave down a passersby on the river and signal for help.

Eight people were brought to safety by 11:45 a.m. Monday morning. They were rescued by emergency responders from the Loudonville Fire Department and Ashland County Sheriff's Office.
