Car Crashes into House in Madison After Pursuit, Suspect Not Apprehended

Richland County, Mansfield –The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a pursuit that started on State Route 430 near Hickory Lane and ended on Illinois Avenue at Grace Street. During the pursuit, Troopers lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle while going northbound on Illinois Avenue. The suspect’s vehicle drove off the roadway and struck a house while out of sight of the Troopers. The crash scene was later located after the suspect fled from the scene and was not apprehended. One resident was inside the house at the time of the crash and sustained minor injuries. Madison Township EMS transported the resident to Ohio Health Mansfield for treatment.
