New Ohio Gas Tax Now In Effect

Ohio drivers are seeing a permanent increase to gasoline prices effective today. Officials say motorists will see gas prices jump by at least ten-and-a-half cents at the pump. Governor DeWine signed the tax increase into law last April. The new tax is expected to bring in around 865-million dollars a year in funding which will go for highway and bridge improvements.
