Troopers Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Ashland County

Orange Township-Troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle that occurred on County Road 1175 just north of County Road 1102 at approximately 8:30 a.m.

A 2002 Harley Davidson was northbound on CR 1175 when it failed to negotiate a right curve. Unit went left of center and off the left side of roadway. The motorcycle overturned on its left side and ejected the driver. The Driver and the motorcycle came to rest in a culvert.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, Michael L. Wuthrich, 53 years old, from Polk, Ohio was pronounced deceased by coroner on scene. Mr. Wuthrich was reported missing at 7:30 p.m. the night before the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors. The crash is still currently under investigation.
