Two People From Fredericktown Flown To Columbus After Serious Injury Crash
The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle serious injury traffic crash.The injury crash occurred on June 13, 2019 at approximately 8:40 A.M. on County Road 6 near Hyatt Road in Morris Township, Knox County.
Jamie D. Beckett, age 39, of Fredericktown, Ohio, was driving a beige 2000 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on County Road 6.Ms. Beckett drove off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected back onto the roadway, and overturned onto its right side.The 2000 Chevrolet Blazer went off the left side of the roadway, rolled over multiple times, ejecting the driver and passenger before coming to a final rest in a field.Ms. Beckett was transported by AirEvac to Grant Medical Center with life threatening injuries.The passenger, Jaron M. Dean, age 32, of Fredericktown, Ohio, was transported by Survival Flight to Grant Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
The driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts.Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Fredericktown Fire Department and the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
