The Madison Board of Education named John Thomas as its acting superintendent.

RichlandSource.com reports the board voted 4-1 last night in favor of a 1 year deal with the 71 year old Thomas, who has 30 years’ experience as a superintendent.

Thomas takes over for Lee Kaple, who filled in as superintendent for the district after placing Shelley Hilderbrand on paid leave in September of 2018.
