Mark Masters is President & CEO of Mechanics Bank, Richland County’s only independent bank.
As a full-service community bank, Mechanics has remained independent for 130 years. What began in Mansfield in 1886 remains here—headquarters and all. Being independent means Mechanics has the freedom to make decisions that are in the best interest of their customers and neighbors. Mechanics Bank is all about people—the customers they serve, the staff they employ, and the neighbors who have turned into friends.
Mark is a graduate of Lucas High School and Bowling Green State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Accounting and Economics.
Mark joined Mechanics in 2001 as Senior Vice President and was appointed to Executive Vice President two years later. After serving as Executive Vice President for 12 years, Mark was appointed to President & CEO of Mechanics Bank in 2015. Mark has 32 years of banking experience in addition to several years in public accounting.
Mark served as the 2018 Community Campaign Chairperson for the United Way of Richland County. He continues to serve as Board Member of North Central State College, Richland County Foundation, Richland County Development Group and Richland County Regional Planning Commission. Additionally, he serves as Vice President to the Lucas Community Center Board, Treasurer and Board Member for the Richland County Growth Corporation, Vice President and Board Member for Richland Carrousel Park and is a Trustee for the Ohio Bankers Benefits Trust.
Mark and his wife, Jeannine, live in the Lucas community. They enjoy making memories with their 5 grown children and 12 grandchildren.
