Mansfield City Council Approves $17 Million Water Meter Project
The City of Mansfield is getting new water meters, after city council approved the $17 million project on Tuesday night. Mansfield will save just under $250,000 thanks to Finance Director Lynn Stewart, who got a lower interest rate. Councilman Cliff Mears told WMAN News, Mansfield pumps over 9 million gallons of water a day, but was only billing for just under 4 million, due to the old meter's.
