Shelby Schools One Step Closer to Building a New Pre K - 8th Building

Shelby Schools are one step closer to building a new Pre k through 8th grade building. The Shelby board of education this week passed a resolution to participate the project, after Shelby was one of 8 schools in the state chosen to receive funding to build new facilities.

There will be meetings in July and August to get the final steps in the process. If all goes well, Superintendent Tim Tarvin says dirt could start to be moved on the project sometime next summer.
