Madison Graduate Promoted to Army Command Sergeant Major

A Madison High School graduate has been promoted to the highest enlisted rank in the US Army, according to RichlandSource.com. Douglas Heston, a 1996 Madison graduate, is now the Command Sergeant Major for the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment. Heston, who had spent 23 years in the military, has been awarded 3 Bronze Stars/ and has served 4 tours in Iraq and 3 in Afghanistan.
