Mansfield Drug Bust Finds Suspected Heroin and Fentanyl

On May 10, 2019, the METRICH Enforcement Unit assisted by the Mansfield Police Department executed a search warrant at 264 East First St. and arrest warrants for Akili Roberts in the City of Mansfield.

The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis. During the search and arrests, METRICH detectives seized suspected heroin and fentanyl and an assortment of drug paraphernalia and $4,761.00 cash and (1) handgun. METRICH detectives arrested and charged Akili Roberts. He was incarcerated at the Richland County Jail where he will await his court appearances. Additional charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

METRICH Detective Nicole Gearhart stated the METRICH Enforcement Unit will continue to target those individuals that traffic drugs in the community and especially those trafficking in fentanyl.
