$1.2 million proposal to upgrade, renovate Richland County Sheriff's Dept

A $1.2 million dollar proposal to upgrade and renovate the Richland County Sheriff’s Department was put in front of the Richland County Commissioner’s yesterday.RichlandSource.com reports the proposal includes the 9-1-1 Dispatcher Center, Emergency Operations Center and Road Patrol, which are located inside of the People’s Community Center.

The Sheriff’s Office said it could come up with $150,000 of the project from state funds. The Commissioners did not make a decision on the matter and will further discuss it at a budget meeting in June.
