Mansfield School Board to select firm to help with superintendent search

The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education will select a firm to help with the search for a new superintendent during a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.

The board will hear presentations from the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center and the Ohio School Boards Association before adjourning to executive session to consider the employment of a public employee or official.

Earlier this month the board and Superintendent Brian Garverick reached agreement on Garverick’s departure as superintendent to assume the role of district director of alternative learning on Aug. 1.

Tuesday’s meeting will be at the Raemelton administration building, 856 W. Cook Road.
