Mansfield Voters will see a safety tax on the ballot, when they head to the polls for the May 7th Primary Election. The ½ a percent levy is a renewal and has been in place since 1988.
Mayor Tim Theaker said this is an important levy to renew to keep people safe and raises nearly $ 7 million.The levy generates about 30% of the budget for both the Mansfield Police and Fire Departments.
