Keith Porch was sworn Wednesday morning as Mansfield Police Chief by Mayor Tim Theaker. The 44 year old Porch takes over for Ken Coontz, who retired as chief and now is Mansfield’s Human Resources Director.
Porch began his career with the Division in 1999 as a Patrol Officer in the Community Service Bureau. Keith was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in March of 2014 where he gained a broad understanding of many aspects of how our Police Department functions both administratively and operationally.
Keith is a lifelong resident of Richland County graduating from Mansfield Senior High School in 1993.
