Fire Monday Near "Welcome to Mansfield" Grain Silo's

The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a fireMonday, near the "Welcome to Mansfield" Grain Silo's. RichlandSource.com reports the fire , which took place at Centerra Co-Op, started in a grain dryer and did not cause very much damage, according to fire chief Steve Strickling. The grain moves around in the dryer and if it clogs in a spot, then can heat up. The fire fighters were able to put out the fire by emptying soy beans out of the dryer and adding water to the top. Chief Strickling felt it would not be long before they were back to normal operations.
