Ashland Schools to Replace Lights at Community Stadium

The Ashland city school board has approved a plan to replace the lights at Community stadium with a new LED system.RichlandSource.com reports work will be handled by Simonson Construction and the cost will not exceed $290,000. School board president James Wolfe believes the move is a wise one because replacing the lights ties in with an electrical upgrade, due to the construction of the new field house. Ashland Superintendent Doug Marrah said keeping the old system would cost the district tens of thousands of dollars, where the new system will use less electricity at the stadium.
