Mansfield Council to vote Tuesday on North Lake Park Dam contract design
Mansfield City Council is set to vote next week on a contract for the design of the North Lake Park Dry Dam, which the actual name is the “Touby Run Flood Hazard Mitigation Project”. Councilman Cliff Mears says a project of this size normally takes 18 to 24 months to design and then needs to be approved by the EPA. The cost for the design could be around $1.2 to 1.5 million, with the total cost around of the project being $ 17 - 19 million. Council is set to vote on the contract design on Tuesday, March 19th. Building the dry dam in North Lake Park will help reduce flooding in the city.
