Mansfield Fire Dept Retirement, Swearing In and Promotional Ceremonies

The Mansfield Fire department held a ceremony this week with two promotions, a swearing in ceremony and a retirement.

RichlandSource.com reports Captain George Rippey retired after 42 years of service, 30 of which came with the Mansfield Fire department. Mansfield fire Chief Steve Strickling said Rippey will be missed, as he was an invaluable asset to training for the department. Lieutenant Joseph Lucas was promoted to Captain Firefighter, Michael Lifer to Lieutenant and Joshua Staats was sworn in as a new Firefighter.
