Mansfield residents will see a renewal on the May ballot for the City’s Safety Services Levy, which was first passed back in 1988. Mansfield City Council voted this week to place the ½ % municipal income tax on the ballot, which is for operating costs for Mansfield Police and Fire Departments. The levy is for 4 years and makes up $7.7 million or 30% of the Mansfield Police and Fire Departments annual budget.
