Teen Accused Of Killing Pregnant Cheerleader, Dumping Body In A Dumpster

A 16-year-old high school football player from Mishawaka High School in Indiana was arrested after police accused him of killing a pregnant cheerleader and disposing of her body in a Dumpster. The investigation led authorities to Aaron Trejo, who was taken into custody following an interview with police. They said that he will be tried for murder as an adult.

17-year-old Breana Rouhselang, who was six months pregnant, went missing on Saturday night and her parents called the police around 4:30 on Sunday morning. Investigators discovered her body in the Dumpster behind a restaurant not far from her home.

Police have not revealed a motive for the murder and are looking into what kind of relationship the two had. Officials said that they knew each other from the football team, which Rouhselang helped manage.

According to WSBT, she was shot and stabbed, but officials are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death.

Mishawaka High School released a statement and said they will make grief counselors available for students.

The Mishawaka High School family suffered a terrible tragedy today. School administrators are working with authorities in the investigation of the death of 17-year-old Breana Rouhselang.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members and friends who have been affected by this great loss. Our focus is now to offer all of the support possible to our staff and students.

There will be grief counselors available at Mishawaka High School first thing in the morning and throughout the day. School will be open, and we believe it is best for all students to come and be around those who care for them.

On Monday (December 10) morning, students walked out of class in remembrance of Rouhselang.
