The City of Ashland is working on a deal to acquire a building on Main Street that has become a safety concern. RichlandSource.com reports, the structure at 16 East Main Street has been standing since 1884 and is in need of repairs. The City has offered the owners $12,000 and could wind up spending up to $200,000 to redo the façade and other restoration work. Once the work is complete the city could sell the building, give it to the land bank or lease out space.
