Ashland University’s Food Service Best in Ohio

Ashland University’s College Food Service was ranked as the 25th Best College Food Service in the country, and the best in the state of Ohio, by the college ranking website Niche.com.

The 2019 Best College Food ranking by Niche.com is based on student surveys of campus dining and meal plan costs. According to Niche.com, top-ranked colleges offer outstanding on-campus dining that allows students to easily access healthy, quality food across a wide range of cuisines and dietary preferences.

This methodology was used to produce the Niche Campus Food Grade for each ranked school as well as additional four-year colleges. Niche touts itself as the best place to research U.S. colleges, schools, neighborhoods and companies. Niche does rigorous cleaning and analysis on large data sets, and combines them with feedback from the communities for nuanced insight that can't be found anywhere else.

In addition to the Niche.com ranking, Food Service Director magazine picked up on the rankings and produced a map graphic that lists the college that features the top dining program in each state. In this special section, the Food Service Director magazine notes that nearly a quarter of Ashland University’s food service purchases come from local suppliers.
