Ashland Man Guilty of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide Sentenced

An Ashland man found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide has been sentenced to 18 months in prison... RichlandSource.com reports, 50 year old Raymond Stafford, who was found guilty of reckless driving in the death of 37 year old Ernest Whitesel of Sullivan in November of 2016, has been ordered to pay $13,300 in restitution to the victim’s family. Stafford also will have his drivers’ license suspended for 5 years. Reports from the Highay Patrol say, both drivers were northbound on Ohio 58, when Stafford attempted to pass Whitesel and ended up colliding. Reports say both cars were going over 72 miles per hour.
