Mansfield to Acquire Land to Drill New Water Wells

The city of Mansfield is set to acquire 10 acres of land to drill two new water wells. Councilman Cliff Mears says this is in the case that contaminants show up in the water supply, so the city would have enough ground water. Mansfield gets its water from the Clear Fork Reservoir and there are 10 ground wells that supply the water source for the city. The land is near the Garden Gate Farms on Lexington -Springmill road.    The cost approved by Mansfield City Council for the land was around $225,000.
