Ashland Man Found Guilty of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide

An Ashland man has been found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide. RichlandSource.com reports, 50 year old Raymond Stafford was found guilty of the 3rd felony, after the three day trial and 2 hours of jury deliberation. Stafford was accused of reckless driving in the death of 37 year old Ernest Whitesel of Sullivan in November of 2016. Reports from the Highay Patrol say, both drivers were northbound on Ohio 58, when Stafford attempted to pass Whitesel and ended up colliding. Whitesel was taken to Akron hospital and pronounced dead. Reports say both cars were going over 72 miles per hour.
