RCDG/ Richland Chamber Announces New Staff

The Richland Community Development Group (RCDG) and the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce just announced Clint Knight as the Director of Workforce Development and Jessica Gribben as the Economic Development Liaison to the City of Shelby and Northern Richland County.

It’s important to note that both positions have been created through partnerships in the community as we believe that collaboration will be a key to continued success.”

Clint Knight is the new Director of Workforce Development with the Richland Area Chamber/RCDG. In this role he will be spearheading efforts to address the critical talent needs of businesses including helping address the skills gap, recruiting new talent to the area, and helping employers find the employees they need to be successful. This position is supported through a partnership with the Richland County Department of Job & Family Services and the Richland County Foundation.

Knight is a resident of Bellville, where he served on Village Council for 2015 – 2017, and Council President in 2017. Most recently, he was employed with Spherion Staffing as On-Premise Recruiting Manager and Branch Manager in Richland and Ashland Counties.

“I am excited to be in this position and eager to promote both community and economic growth in our area though talent development and attraction," said Knight. “I believe there are great opportunities for both employees and employers and will be working to develop ideas and programs that foster growth and retention.”

Jessica Gribben is the new Economic Development Liaison for Shelby and Northern Richland County. In this newly created role, she will be helping to drive business growth in the northern hub of the county.  This position was created through a unique partnership with the City of Shelby, Shelby Foundation, Shelby Community Improvement Corporation, Bicycle Days Festival, the Village of Plymouth and the Chamber/RCDG.

Gribben is a Richland County native who graduated from Crestview High School and attended The Ohio State University Mansfield. Most recently she was a real estate professional with The Holden Agency and before that she held several roles at Richland Bank. She is a past-president of the Richland Young Professionals, and has served on several prestigious local boards.

“I am so excited to be joining forces with Richland Area Chamber/RCDG and their partners for this role,” said Gribben. “There are so many people that are interested in moving Shelby and northern Richland County forward. It feels like a great time to dive into economic development.”
