Mansfield Pumping Station in Desperate Need of Repair

Mansfield City Council approved this week to apply for a $500,000 grant to repair the Pumping Station by the City Service Complex on Park Avenue East. Councilman Cliff Mears tells WMAN News the pumping station is in desperate need of repair and actually about 70% of the city’s sewage goes through the station. The total cost of the project is $3.8 million. The remaining cost would then come from the city’s water and sewer fund.
