The Ashland County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse feels they are making progress to get their message to about 90% of Ashland County kids in grades K-6 this year. RichlandSource.com reports, Khris Hickey, who is the Alcohol and Drug educator for the Ashland County Council, says they have made a big push over the last few years to be able to talk to the kids about this topic. Hickey feels parents should ask teachers about what drug prevention programs their schools offer.
