The Mohican Area Community Fund has received a check for $2,000 from the Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation, which just opened up an office in Jeromesville. The $2,000 will go towards the Mohican Area Community Fund’s goal of $90,000 to support 34 local non-profits. Cabot Oil and Gas is based out of Houston and has opened up with fracking take place in Ashland County. The company is looking for fossil fuels and plans on drilling 5 exploratory wells by the end of 2018.
