Fountain Built to Honor Shelby’s First Mayor

A fountain has been built in front of the Shelby Justice Center to honor the city’s first mayor.  RichlandSource.com reports the fountain was recently dedicated to honor Henry Cline and his wife. Henry was Shelby’s first fulltime mayor from 1976-1981. The money was raised by Linda Cline, who is the daughter of the former mayor. A plaque will arrive in a few weeks that will go on the front of the fountain. Current Shelby mayor Steve Schag said “this fountain will be a long lasting tribute to one of Shelby’s finest mayors”.
