A former US Army Veteran from Mansfield, who recently passed away, will be honored next week. An American flag will be raised in honor of James Hunter on Thursday, August 9th at 6 pm in front of the Richland County Courthouse. Hunter was born in Mansfield and was a 1948 graduate of Mansfield Senior. Hunter served in the US Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1953, plus 4 years in the National Guard. James Hunter passed away earlier this year in February.
