Woodland Club Raises Close to 10K to Help Save Pool

Last week, the Woodland Club says unless $30,000 could be raised, they would be forced to close the Woodland pool this summer. In the last week nearly $10,000 has been raised to help save the pool and keep it open until Labor Day. Board members say the pool can’t operate in its condition and the pool is beyond its life expectancy.  RichlandSource.com reports, around 70 people attend the meeting to come up with ideas to raise money to save the pool. 14 businesses already have agreed to give money to help keep it open. The Woodland pool also has discounted rate memberships for the rest of the summer to help draw people to the pool. A new pool would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $300,000.
