Lexington Co-champs of National Academic Challenge

Lexington’s Eastern Elementary school this week was crowned co-champions of the National Academic Challenge. The group of 5th and 6th graders competed in Washington, D.C and actually thought they came in runner up. RichlandSource.com reports, the team from Louisville, Kentucky used a student that did not go to its school and had the title taken away. Lexington’s Eastern Elementary and another school from Kentucky were then named co-champions.  Lexington coach Jennifer Berry said it’s a good lesson for her students. She told them, “I would rather lose with integrity, than win by cheating.
