Downtown Ashland is seeing more businesses open up on Main Street. A ribbon cutting was held on Thursday for “Taproom on Main”, which will sell Ohio beer and wine and be located in the former Happy Grape building at 47 East Main. RichlandSource.com reports, across the street at 112 East Main, is Fig and Oak, which is a store selling handmade, vintage and re-purposed goods. Sandra Tunnell, Executive Director of Ashland Main Street, says that Downtown Ashland has an occupancy rate of 93%, compared to just 75%, when Ashland Main Street opened up back in 2010.
