Bellville Proposed Legislation for Safety Inspections

Unhappy rental property owners spoke out this week at Bellville Village Council, after proposed legislation that would require them to pay for regular safety inspections. RichlandSource.com reports, the fee would be $300 to $600 every three years, plus a tenant fee.  Those outspoken over the matter said it would hurt the economy in Richland County and called it “redundant legislation”. Rental owners say there is already a law intact to cover safety concerns. The legislation will be up for vote in the middle of July.
