The Mansfield City Schools have hired a Columbus engineering company to assess 10 buildings within the district to see about renovation of existing facilities versus possible new construction. The board voted to award a $22,450 contract to Dynamix Energy Services and employ former Mansfield Senior High Principal Stan Jefferson as “project ombudsman.” The study will evaluate heating and electrical systems, plumbing and fixtures, lighting, ventilation/air conditioning, sewage system and water supply. The hope is to have the facilities report to the board of education by late August.
