The city of Galion is going forward with a widening project, after a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation. RichlandSource.com reports, the city will widen State Route 598, from Carter Drive to Brandt Road and add a center turn lane. $1.1 million will come from the Federal Highway Safety Program, while the other $900,000 will come from the Small City Program. The money will be for fiscal year 2022. The total cost of the project will be just under $6 million.
